The Pickaway County Buyers Club is a group of local businesses, civic organizations and individuals that come together to support youth by purchasing market animal projects at the Pickaway County Junior Fair Sale.

Pickaway County Farm Bureau pledged to double donor gifts during the month of March, up to $5000. Twenty-three donors gave a total of $7,575. The Farm Bureau match resulted in $12,575 raised to benefit youth livestock exhibitors at the Pickaway County Fair.

“The outpouring of support from the community makes me proud to live, work and raise my family in Pickaway County,” said Buyers Club Chair Annie Lohstroh. “The Buyers Club was created in 2018. We’ve increased the positive impact on local youth each year since because of community support.”

The Pickaway County Buyers Club extends a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to all 2021 Buyers Club donors:

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
