On Jan. 27 the Lawrence County Farm Bureau in conjunction with Lawrence County OSU Extension held a Beef Quality Assurance meeting. The meeting was held in order to get beef producers certified in Beef Quality Assurance. Beef quality assurance is a certification program that allows beef producers to gain more value for their animal by promoting a positive public image along with gaining more education themselves on the product they raise, according to the beef quality assurance website. There were around 30 people in attendance the night of the program who became certified for Beef Quality Assurance.
