The New Farmer Expansion Grant was created through the generous support of a local donor to support new and beginning farmers in Trumbull County. The purpose of this $1,500 grant is to help offset farm operation costs. This can include but is not limited to: fuel costs, fertilizer costs, equipment costs, land rent, etc. The appropriate use of funds will be left up to the determination of the donor.
Eligibility
- Must be a Trumbull County resident.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to provide supporting documentation proving intent to farm should it be requested by the Trumbull County Board of Trustees and/or donor.
Questions
- Briefly describe your background in agriculture and how you plan to start or grow your operation.
- If awarded the New Farmers Expansion grant, tell us how you would utilize the funds to further your farming operation.
- How would you demonstrate proof to the donor this money was spent for its intended purpose?
Selection
Selection of the final applicant will be made by Trumbull County Farm Bureau and the donor.
