Crawford County Farm Bureau is hosting its Scholarship Golf Scramble June 28 at the Golf Club of Bucyrus. Check-in will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a shotgun start at 2:30 p.m. Food and live music to follow at Old 30 BBQ.

All proceeds will support annual Crawford County Farm Bureau scholarships. Crawford County Farm Bureau supports the further education of Crawford County high school graduates in college or graduate school, apprenticeship program or trade school.

Team registration is $280 and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, dinner and awards after play. Please grab your friends, family or coworkers for a team to help make this a successful event for our local students.

Sponsorships for hole signs, swag bags and teams are available. Please contact the county Farm Bureau office by May 19 to discuss items available and costs.

If you have any questions in regard to this event, direct them to Adam McGinnis (567-230-2665), the Crawford County Farm Bureau office (419-747-7488) or Eric Hanes (419-561-0940).

Complete this form or contact the office at (419) 747-7488 or [email protected] to register a team.

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.

New and beginning farmers
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
