Applications open for 2027 YAP competitive events

Read MoreKenton Richter of Ross County was recently selected to serve a two-year term on the Ohio Farm Bureau Young Ag Professionals State Committee. The appointment was officially announced at the 2026 Winter Leadership Experience and is based on Farm Bureau involvement, leadership potential and community service.
Richter works full-time for Corcoran Farms where he assists with growing row crops, operating the Certified Angus Beef feedlot, maintaining equipment and completing other day-to-day operations. Off the farm, Richter owns and operates Buckeye Aerial Application, a spray drone business alongside the Corcorans. Richter was a member of The Ohio State University Collegiate Farm Bureau and currently serves on the Ross County Farm Bureau board.
The state Young Ag Professionals committee is composed of eight members or couples who suggest, develop and conduct activities that provide opportunities for young farmers and ag professionals to be more involved in Ohio Farm Bureau programs. Duties include planning the yearly YAP winter leadership conference and hosting Young Agricultural Professionals in a variety of in- and out-of-state events.
