The 2nd Annual Southern Ohio Ag Showcase was held Feb. 7, 2026, organized by the Farm Bureaus of Adams, Brown, Clermont, and Highland counties in coordination with OSU Extension – Brown County. Despite a cold and icy morning, the event was attended by Farm Bureau members, community leaders, and industry vendors. The program was designed to provide agriculturalists with industry updates and networking opportunities within the southern Ohio region.
Following breakfast, attendees heard from Josh Winters with OSU Extension – Jackson County. Winters provided a market outlook for the 2026 farming season, focusing on both the livestock and grain sectors. His presentation included data and strategies intended to help farmers guide their operations and identify keys to benefiting their businesses in the coming year.
Support for the event was provided by sponsors including the Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District, First State Bank, and Atomic Credit Union. Several Ohio Farm Bureau group members were in attendance to represent their organizations. These included Ag Pro, Atomic Credit Union, Baxla Tractor, First State Bank, Merchants National Bank, and United Producers, Inc.
Specific programs were highlighted during the showcase, including a project by the Brown County Educational Service Center. This collaborative program identifies and marks grain bins for identification to assist emergency services in case of accidents or fires. Additionally, Paul Hall and Associates participated as an Ohio Farm Bureau Select Partner, a designation for specific insurance and financial service providers associated with the organization.
Following the outlook presentations, attendees were encouraged to visit the vendor showcase. The showcase featured a range of vendors providing services to the agricultural community. The participating vendors were: ABS Breeding, Adams Brown Clermont and Highland County Farm Bureau, Ag-Pro, Atomic Credit Union, Baxla Tractor, Bobcat Enterprises, Brown County Educational Service Center, Brown County OSU Extension, Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District, Cherry Fork Farm Supply, DN Equipment, Farm Service Agency, First State Bank, Marion Tile Company, Merchants National Bank, Midwest American Power, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Ohio AgrAbility, Ohio Department of Agriculture, Paul Hall and Associates, Rocking BG Cattle Company, Southern Hills Community Bank, and USDA Rural Development.
In summary, the 2nd Annual Southern Ohio Ag Showcase facilitated the exchange of market data and safety information between local farmers and industry experts. By bringing together four county Farm Bureaus, OSU Extension, and over 20 vendors, the event provided attendees with resources for a successful 2026 farming season.
