Local FFA chapters support annual Hog Wild fundraiser

The Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Jackson, Oak Hill, and Wellston FFA chapters for their assistance with our annual Hog Wild Fundraiser.

Hog Wild is an annual community contest where 40 local businesses decorate a piggy bank to raise money for high school scholarships and youth agricultural programs. Community members vote for their favorite pigs using spare change, with every penny counting as a vote.

FFA members volunteered their time to “Shake the Pigs” and assist with displaying photographs of past queens in the windows of the Farm Bureau office. Community events like this rely heavily on student leadership, and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication and hard work.

We would also like to thank Papa John’s Pizza for partnering with us to provide an affordable lunch for all of our student volunteers.
