Read MoreGreetings, everyone. It is my great pleasure to spend another summer with you all in Allen, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert Counties as the local Farm Bureau intern. My name is Brianna Yonley, and as this is not my first day, I have gotten the privilege to meet many great members throughout my past year here. I am delighted to spend my summer interning in your counties again and hopefully meeting many more members.
For two years I attended The Ohio State University at Lima, while working on campus and interning in the office while living in Lima. I am currently a senior studying agriculture communications at The Ohio State University with a minor in animal sciences. I have an interest in livestock photography and livestock marketing. In the fall, I plan to move to the Columbus campus to complete my degree and get involved with activities and clubs on campus in agriculture.
I was born and raised in Coshocton, Ohio where I graduated from River View High School. Growing up, I raised livestock, took special interest projects and held office positions in Winner 4-H Club for 10 years. Over the years, I took many different projects, but my two favorites were market ducks and my dog. I participated in the Ohio State Fair for my special interest projects in healthy foods and living.
Growing up and living in rural communities has given me a passion for agriculture that I have grown and developed new passions from. Working with the Allen, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert Farm Bureaus has given me so many opportunities to make connections throughout the industry, grow my knowledge inside agriculture, while also expressing my creativity and skills by communicating and marketing in the local communities. From the 2019 plant season, to COVID-19, to the H2Ohio program, I have been able to see the impact at a local level and share why it is so important.
I look forward to another summer growing with the local county members and the leadership of my co-workers in the office that teach me life long skills each day. I have a passion for learning and agriculture, and each day there is something new that just makes me work harder to educate others about the importance of the Ohio Farm Bureau, agriculture and the local environment to make a difference in someone else.
