Matt Bell of Zanesville has been elected to his third term on the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. His re-election took place during the organization’s 103rd annual meeting.
As a state trustee, Bell represents the members of District 16, which includes Guernsey, Morgan, Muskingum and Perry counties. He raises row crops, hogs and cattle on a six- generation farm.
Bell is a 26-year member of Muskingum County Farm Bureau, having served as its president, vice president, secretary and member of the public policy action team and the membership campaign committee. He is a member of the United Producers board and is a former member of the Ohio Corn Growers and Ohio Corn Marketing Program boards.
Bell attended Ohio State University and Zane State College and graduated from Ohio Farm Bureau’s AgriPOWER leadership institute.
He joins 25 other farmers on the Farm Bureau board who govern the state’s largest farm and food organization.

Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.

Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
