Jackson-Vinton 2025 delegates

The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation recently held its 107th Annual Meeting, bringing together leaders and members from across the state to shape the future of agriculture and rural communities.

🌟 Local Leadership & Representation: Mick Scott, Jackson‑Vinton County Farm Bureau president, attended and proudly served on the OFBF Policy Committee, helping guide important discussions and decisions.

🏆 Murray Lincoln Award Winners: Congratulations to Jessica Taylor and Pam Updike, who were honored with the prestigious Murray Lincoln Award. Each signed over 50 new or winback members, a remarkable achievement that strengthens our Farm Bureau family.

🗳️ Voting Delegates: Our delegates—Jessica Taylor, Mick Scott, Pam Updike and Jessica Mulhern—represented their counties with excellence. They engaged in thoughtful debate and cast votes on policies impacting local, state, and national issues.

✨ Looking Ahead: The annual meeting continues to be a cornerstone event for Ohio Farm Bureau, ensuring that members’ voices are heard and that grassroots policy drives the organization forward.

We are proud of the dedication and leadership shown by our Jackson‑Vinton County representatives and congratulate all who contributed to this year’s success!

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.

We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

Youth pathways in Farm Bureau
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
