OSU Extension and Auglaize and Shelby County Farm Bureaus are inviting you to participate in a day-long workshop focused on planning for the succession of your farm.  The meeting will take place Dec. 15, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Palazzo, at 309 S. Main Street in Botkins. 

The workshop is designed to help farm families learn to successfully create a succession and estate plan that will help transfer farm ownership, management, and assets to the next generation. The content of the workshop includes the following:

  • Developing goals for estate and succession
  • Planning for transition control and the unexpected
  • Communication and conflict management during farm transfer
  • Selecting an attorney
  • Legal tools and strategies
  • Developing your team 
  • Getting your affairs in order
