The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is excited to invite industry professionals, community members, and golf enthusiasts to participate in the 2024 Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Golf Invitational June 24 at Scioto Reserve Country Club in Powell.
The annual golf outing is a cornerstone event for the foundation, with proceeds directly supporting its mission to inspire innovation and cultivate investment in Ohio’s farm and food community.
Each year, the foundation recognizes exceptional leadership in Ohio agriculture. This year’s honoree is Dr. John Mossbarger, who owns and operates Midland Acres, a Standardbred horse farm, along with his brother, Jay, nephew Jake, and partner Dr. Robert Schwartz. Serving Ohio agriculture throughout his career as a large animal veterinarian, Dr. Mossbarger was also a 12-year member of the Ohio Farm Bureau Board of Trustees. Dr. Mossbarger currently serves as a director of the United States Trotting Association, formerly served as president for the Ohio Standard Breeders Association and Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association and was recently inducted into the Ohio Harness Racing Hall of Fame.
Participants of the golf outing can expect a day of friendly competition and camaraderie, with a four-person team scramble format and divisional scoring. Prizes will be awarded to teams in two divisions, ensuring a spirited and inclusive event for all skill levels.
