Adams County Farm Bureau hosted its annual Farm Bureau Day at the Adams County Fair July 12, offering fun activities for all ages. Kids and adults kicked off the day with pedal tractor pulls, where everyone enjoyed some friendly competition. The energetic frog jumping contest was a hit, bringing lots of laughs and excitement as participants cheered on their frogs. Albeit, sometimes they even crawled alongside their frogs.
Guests were also treated to a fascinating Birds of Prey program, where they learned about hawks, owls and other raptors and their role in keeping nature in balance. It was an educational experience for the whole family. Tractor games added even more fun, with participants competing in events like tractor basketball, showcasing skill and precision behind the wheel.
This annual event gained national recognition as a 2023 AFBF County Activities of Excellence winner, earning county leaders a trip to Salt Lake City in January 2024. Prizes for the day’s competitions included gift certificates to the 4-H Food Booth, further supporting the junior fair.
