On Saturday, March 29, local sheep and goat producers gathered at the Marshall Community Center for an informative and engaging Sheep & Goat Clinic. Hosted by United Producers, the Highland County Farm Bureau and OSU Extension Highland County, the event provided valuable insights into breeding, finishing, and marketing sheep and goats. This event was part of an ongoing effort to provide quality agricultural programming for the local farming community. These monthly meeting have been organized by Tim Sheeley, a Highland County Farm Bureau board trustee and employee of United Producers.
The clinic featured expert speakers, including Tim Sheeley, Sam Roberts with UPI and Ty Hamilton with OSU Extension Highland County, who shared their knowledge. Ty Hamilton expressed his appreciation for the event’s success, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among organizations and volunteers in supporting local agriculture. He noted that the Sheep & Goat Clinic is just one of many opportunities for producers to continue learning and growing in their industry.
