Franklin County Farm Bureau, in partnership with Delaware, Madison, and Union County Farm Bureaus, is seeking a highly organized, efficient, and dependable individual to join our team as a County Office Administrator (COA). This role is pivotal in providing administrative support to our board members, volunteers, and Organization Director, ensuring the smooth operation of our county office.

Position Overview

  • Location: Hilliard, Ohio
  • Reports To: Organization Director
  • Employment Type: Part- time OR Full-time, no benefits offered
  • Compensation: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Membership Management: Maintain accurate records for all members within the organizational database.
  • Member Outreach & Retention: Conduct proactive customer service interactions and reach out to members to support retention. Promote company activities and member services during office hours.
  • Financial Oversight: Maintain precise financial records using QuickBooks. Responsibilities include reconciling all financial accounts in a timely manner and preparing for/attending county financial audits. Keep track of monthly investment reports. 
  • Information Management:Maintain an accurate, organized, and easily accessible filing system (electronic and hard copy). 
  • Office Operations: Maintain a professional office environment. Ensure office equipment is well-maintained and report any issues to the supervisor. Assist with outbound mail and manage P.O. Box. Maintain “regular work hours” as directed by the supervisor to keep the office open to the public.
  • Professional Engagement: Attend special meetings or conferences as directed to improve position skills and foster relationships with the company and its affiliates.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor 

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive). Experience with CRM software and QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Must be a team player capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Background: Interest in or familiarity with agriculture and membership-based organizations is preferred.

Training

Comprehensive training will be provided for Farm Bureau-specific software and organizational procedures.
