Noble County Farm Bureau holds 2026 annual meeting

Noble County Farm Bureau held its 2026 annual meeting of members Friday, July 31, at the Floral Hall, Noble County Fairgrounds in Caldwell, led by County Farm Bureau President Jason Feldner.

During the business session, members voted on proposed policy and elected trustees to the county board, as well as delegates to represent the county at the 2027 Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.

Prior to the business session, dinner was catered by Hog Hollow BBQ.  Key policy discussions focused on local, state and national agricultural issues, including protecting waterways, surface owner rights, and education on poison hemlock and other noxious weeds.

Farm Bureau also touched on the importance of the local Ohio State University Extension office and the role it plays educating farmers and landowners in our area, plus the exceptional outreach and programs they do within the county.

The evening’s program also featured presentations recognizing outstanding contributors and dedicated volunteers. Board attendance awards were presented to Don Archer, Jason Feldner, Gladys Saling, Clair Schockling, Mattea Schockling, Duane Weisend and Chris Wells. 

“Farm Bureau depends on volunteers to accomplish our goals and policies,” said Miranda Miser, organization director. “Noble County is very blessed with dedicated people to serve on their Board of Trustees and as membership volunteers.”

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.
