The Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau’s annual Hog Wild Fundraiser has wrapped up, and 2026 has proven to be another year of fun, creativity, and community support!

Slark’s Tire & Service Center – Smokey Pork

With an impressive 51,050 votes ($510.50) collected in just seven days, Smokey Pork has officially been crowned Jackson County’s TOP HOG! Adding in Round 2, Slark’s Tire & Service Center brought in a grand total of $1,042.32

People’s Choice Award: Happenings Bistro – Patriotic Piggy with 55,579 votes ($555.79) in Round 1.

Most Creative/Artistic Hog: Arch & Eddie’s – Chef Archie

Facebook Likes Winner: Family Dental Center – Dr. Pearl E. White, Oinkodontist with 434 “Likes”

Round 2 raised $2,672.14 in just seven days.

Combined Rounds 1 & 2, 651,404 total votes = $6,514.04 raised for scholarships and youth programs.

Round 1 alone brought in $4,899.78 from all 40 pigs!

“The second round of voting was very competitive, and they got very creative in raising money for their pigs this year. The community support has been incredible,” said Mick Scott, Jackson-Vinton County Farm Bureau president.

Every business and community member who painted, decorated, and voted for a pig played a part in this year’s success. Even pigs outside the Top 15 made big contributions.

This event, started 32 years ago, has grown from funding a single scholarship to providing six scholarships annually, along with supporting youth activities across Jackson and Vinton counties.

• FFA students from Wellston, Oak Hill and Jackson for helping shake coins from piggy banks and displaying Farm Bureau Queen photos.
