Read MoreMatt Somerville grew up on a small farm in Jefferson County. His father owned and operated Two Ridge Veterinary Clinic in Wintersville. In his youth he was a member of 4-H and raised raised ponies and sheep. Matt is a 1992 graduate of Edison South High School, after which he attended Ohio State University where he earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After earning his DVM he entered into practice with his father.
Matt is a resident of Salem Township and is a District Two representative on the Jefferson County Farm Bureau board of trustees. He is often called upon by the board to offer his expertise in animal related issues.
Matt has been married to Chrissy (Culp) Somerville for 18 years and has two daughters, Maddie and Page. In his free time, Matt enjoys watching and attending Ohio State football games as well as Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games.
