Ohio Rep. John Patterson was recently honored at the Geauga County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting with the “Friend of Agriculture” award from Ohio Farm Bureau’s Agriculture for Good Government Political Action Committee.
Incumbent Statehouse candidates who are chosen for the award are judged by the following criteria:
- their voting record
- an issue survey and
- county Farm Bureaus’ input on their level of engagement.
For incumbents to be considered for the designation, they must have a satisfactory voting record in regard to Ohio Farm Bureau key votes, which during the 132nd General Assembly included
- broadband and
- water quality.
The screening committees, comprised of the county trustees, can designate one candidate, both candidates or neither candidates as the Friend of Agriculture.
“Congratulations to Representative Patterson and thank you for your continued support of Ohio Agriculture and Geauga County Farm Bureau!!”
