Muskingum County Farm Bureau will be hosting its Jammin’ on the Farm fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. at the McDonald’s Greenhouse in Zanesville. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the local Muskingum Area Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to this organization to help bring resources to individuals and families struggling with mental health within our rural community.

There will be various food trucks available to purchase food and drinks, live music by Landon Tom, and resource tables with representatives and informational handouts regarding mental health. Tickets are $10 per person and $5 for ages 5-15; ages 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Free koozie with purchase of admission, while supplies last.

Beer can be purchased for a $5 donation. Farm Bureau members will receive one free beer with proof of membership at the door.

If you have any questions, would like to be a sponsor or make a monetary donation, please call 740-452-2356 or email [email protected] for more information.

Help support this event with your attendance, sponsorship, and/or donation while supporting the youth programs in our area!

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.

New and beginning farmers
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
