Morrow County Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting was held on July 13 at the Gilead Friends Church in Mount Gilead. Joel Starkey provided music during dinner, which was prepared by the Morrow County Pork Producers.
The 2022 Morrow County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting minutes and financials were presented and approved. Trustee and delegate elections were held, and policies and code changes were voted on and approved. The board trustees elected were Eddie Lou Meimer, Seth Romine, Kelly Sautter-Tennant and Madison Ott. Along with the President Seth Romine and Vice President Manny Heilman, Nicole Feilon and Julie Logan were elected to serve as delegates for the 2024 OFBF Annual Meeting. Russ Mayer will serve as the alternate.
Kelly Sautter-Tennant was awarded the President’s Award for her leadership and service to the Morrow County Farm Bureau. Volunteers were recognized, and programs and accomplishments from the last year were reviewed and celebrated. Organization Director Abra Dunn and OFBF First Vice President and District 7 State Trustee Cy Prettyman provided remarks.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.
I could not have done it without the resources I have found through Farm Bureau.
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
