Farm Bureau at the Morrow County Fair

Morrow County Farm Bureau would like to encourage everyone to visit the Morrow County Fair Aug. 28 – Sept. 4. Check out this year’s schedule of Farm Bureau sponsored events!

The Morrow County Farm Bureau will, once again, have a display tent on the corner outside the commercial building! The tent will be open daily from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Farm Bureau will have a trivia wheel you can spin for prizes. There will also be a Scavenger Hunt across the fairgrounds, so get your questions sheet and look for the signs as you tour the 2023 Morrow County Fair. Turn your completed sheets in at the display tent to receive a prize. We are offering your choice of a FREE hat or T-shirt if you join Morrow County Farm Bureau or renew your membership at the fair. The sandbox and toys for children to play with will also be back at the fair this year. It is located outside of the Youth Building.

Barnyard Olympics is a fun obstacle course where teams test their aim and agility. Barnyard Olympics will begin on Friday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. in the small arena. All participants will receive a $3 voucher to use at the Cattlemen’s Stand, Dairy Association Stand, or Pork Trailer!

Come and join all the fun happening at this year’s Morrow County Fair. The Morrow County Farm Bureau is a proud supporter of the Junior Fair and would like to wish good luck to all of the participants showing their livestock and home projects at the fair. Farm Bureau will also be purchasing animals at the livestock sale.

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.

New and beginning farmers
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
