Morrow County Farm Bureau held its Annual Meeting July 11, 2024 at the Gilead Friends Church in Mount Gilead. Dinner was prepared by the Morrow County Pork Producers. After dinner, presenters spoke about Morrow County’s Land Use Revitalization Plan and gathered input from attendees.
The 2023 Morrow County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting minutes and financials were presented and approved. Trustee and delegate elections were held and policies were voted on and approved. The board trustees elected were Manny Heilman and Madison Ott. Along with County President Seth Romine and Vice President Manny Heilman, Julie Logan and Madison Ott were voted to serve as delegates for the 2025 OFBF Annual Meeting.
Warren Davis was awarded the President’s Award for his leadership and service to Morrow County Farm Bureau. Volunteers were recognized, and programs and accomplishments from the last year were reviewed and celebrated. Organization Director Abra Dunn and OFBF First Vice President and District 7 State Trustee Cy Prettyman provided remarks.
Thank you to all of our members and guests who attended. If you couldn’t attend and would still like to get involved, we are always looking for volunteers throughout the year for different events and committees.
To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.
I could not have done it without the resources I have found through Farm Bureau.
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
