Richland County Farm Bureau embraced the County Fair

Thank you to everyone who visited the Richland County Fair and participated in Richland County Farm Bureau sponsored events.

Thank you to the Farm Bureau volunteers who worked Fairhaven Cafeteria on Tuesday morning serving breakfast.

Richland County Farm Bureau hosted a successful Barnyard Olympics on Thursday. Participants in the event received a $4 voucher good at the 4-H Dairy Bar or Plymouth FFA
pop tent.

The Richland County Farm Bureau is proud to support the Richland County Junior Fair. With our generous sponsors, we provided a T-shirt to all Junior Fair exhibitors. Thank you to the sponsors who made this possible: Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc., Broerman Insurance Agency, Centerra Co-op, Cole’s Distributing Inc., Cooke Transport, Crawford Drainage Co., Farm Credit Mid-America, Grauer Farms, KM’s Feed Store, Lund & Smith Insurance Services, Mechanics Bank, Pioneer Seed – Todd Schroeder, Sunrise Cooperative, Trent Insurance Group and Walnut Hill Feeds.

We sponsored the Showman of Showmen trophy and the chairs for the Outstanding Market Livestock Exhibitor in each species. Board members presented the exhibitors with the chairs when they were recognized at the small and large animal sales.

Congratulations to all of the exhibitors who showed at the fair this year!

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
