The Youth Tractor Safety Certification Course is a 24-hour program designed to teach safety as it relates to driving and managing farm implements. The program offers both classroom and hands-on tractor driving experiences for youth ages 14-15 who are interested in employment using agricultural equipment. This program is made possible through a partnership between Geauga County Farm Bureau and Geauga County Ohio State University Extension.

IMPORTANT:  This course is designed for youth ages 14 – 15 as of April 11, 2026 (older youth may participate, but a certificate is not required by law, so priority will be given to 14-15 year olds).

Informational Session: December 7, 2025 at 6 PM at Geauga County OSU Extension Office (14269 Claridon Troy Rd, Burton, OH 44021)

Testing:  Saturday April 18, with appointments starting at 10 a.m. and the location is to be determined.

Cost: $50 (Scholarships are available for Farm Bureau and/or Geauga 4-H members)
