Grab great food & side of ag education across Pike County

If you’re dining out in Pike County this National Ag Week, be sure to swing by The Diner, Ritchie’s BBQ, and Carson’s Pizza in Piketon; Sully’s in the Valley in Beaver; and Diner 23 and Bob Evans in Waverly. Along with great food, you’ll find ag‑themed placemats that serve up a fun “Lunch & Learn” experience!

These ridiculously cool placemats highlight Pike County’s agricultural history and share fun facts about the commodities grown right here at home. Kids get in on the learning, too, thanks to a built‑in word search and coloring page.

This effort comes courtesy of the Pike County Farm Bureau, OSU Extension, and Nationwide Select Partners: Gerber Financial Services and Wilber‑Price/Trucordia. Designed by Farm Bureau board members and OSU Extension staff, the project celebrates National Ag Week and shines a spotlight on the farmers who keep our communities thriving.

Grab great food and a side of ag education across Pike County! So while you’re out enjoying a good meal, don’t forget to give a shout out to your local farmers!

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
