If your family has worked the same land for 100 years or more, you’ve built something that goes far beyond acres and equipment. That legacy deserves recognition, and Nationwide wants to help share your story.
Nationwide, the approved insurance and financial services company for Ohio Farm Bureau, was founded by farmers in 1926. A century later, that connection to agricultural continues to shape who we are and how we serve the farmers and ranchers across the country.
That’s why Nationwide created the Century Farm Barn Quilt Contest. It’s a chance for century farms and ranches to share how they’ve protected what matters most, highlight the safety practices that have helped sustain their operations and be recognized with a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
Inspired by a long-standing rural tradition, barn quilts are colorful works of art displayed on barns and agricultural buildings to celebrate a farm’s heritage, history and values.
Ten winning farms and ranches will each receive a custom 4’x4′ handcrafted barn quilt celebrating their history and commitment to protecting their families, workers and operations for generations to come. Winners work directly with an artist to create a custom barn quilt that reflects their farm or ranch’s unique story, selecting the pattern, colors and design that best represent their legacy.
