The High Family Memorial Scholarship may be awarded annually by The Ohio Sheep Improvement Association. The scholarship is given in honor of the Glenn and Joan High Family. The High Family is known in sheep industry circles as leaders, as mentors and as friends of the sheep industry and they truly believe in the education of youth of the sheep industry.
Funding for scholarships comes from the private donations to the High Family Memorial Scholarship Fund, and was initiated upon the passing of long-time sheep producer Glenn A. High.
To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.
