Life Line Screening

Ohio Farm Bureau has expanded its member-focused healthcare solutions through the addition of a new partnership with Life Line Screening. This new partnership will provide members access to preventive cardiovascular and stroke risk screenings at a member-preferred rate. The partnership is designed to help individuals identify underlying health risks earlier through convenient, noninvasive screenings before more serious or costly health conditions develop.

“As a member-focused organization, we are proud to partner with Life Line Screening to help add to our Health Care Solutions services and provide greater value,” said Trevor Kirkpatrick, director of health services for Ohio Farm Bureau. “Our farm families and agricultural workforce work tirelessly every day, and our mission is to ensure they have a toolbox of resources that will fit their unique needs and schedules.”

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, and many associated risks can be detected early through preventive screening. Through this partnership, OFBF members have access to Life Line Screening’s nationwide network of community-based screening events, making it easier to participate at locations and times that fit their schedules.

“Preventive screening plays a critical role in identifying cardiovascular disease and stroke risks before they become life-threatening,” said Matt Miller, CEO of Life Line Screening. “Through this partnership, we’re expanding access in a way that meets people where they are, making it easier for Ohio Farm Bureau members to take a proactive approach to their health.”

Established in 1993, Life Line Screening is the nation’s leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, hosting more than 15,000 each year, including nearly 700 in Ohio. The company has empowered more than 11 million people to understand their health risks and take proactive steps toward maintaining their well-being.

New and beginning farmers
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

Youth pathways in Farm Bureau
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
