Trumbull County Farm Bureau recognizes the importance of developing future leaders in the agriculture industry and is committed to investing in their education.
Trumbull County Farm Bureau would like to honor our 2025 scholarship recipients.
Vada Allen receives $1,000. Allen is the daughter of James and Denise Allen of Leavittsburg. She is a 2025 graduate of LaBrae High School and is undecided on where she will be attending college. She was very active in clubs and in sports during high school. Allen enjoys learning about the agriculture industry.
Sydney Morrison receives $500. Morrison is the daughter of John and Megan Morrison of Williamsfield. She is a 2024 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and is currently attending Ohio State ATI at CFAES Wooster majoring in agricultural science education. She is a member of Agricultural Communicators, Educators and Leaders of Tomorrow as well as Hoof n’ Hide Club. Morrison would like to educate the youth on how broad the agriculture industry is.
John Shaw III receives $250. Shaw is the son of John Jr. and Susan Shaw of Cortland. He is a 2024 graduate of Mathews High School and is currently attending Youngstown State University majoring in chemistry. He served as the executive representative, award chairperson, house co-manager, recruitment co-chair, and secretary for SAE Fraternity. Shaw is unsure of where his education will go.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.
I could not have done it without the resources I have found through Farm Bureau.
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.
