Ohio Farm Bureau is partnering with America 250-Ohio to bring the America 250-Ohio Agritourism Trail to life this fall, a key initiative that aims to celebrate Ohio agriculture during the America 250 celebration this year.

America 250A self-guided driving tour, the Agritourism Trail will help promote agritourism sites around the state throughout September and October 2026.

The online application period is open now, until June 30, for those who would like to apply to be featured on the America 250-Ohio Agritourism Trail.

Chosen trail participants will be announced at the Ohio State Fair in August.

Form submissions are evaluated based on their ability to meet the following expectations:

  • Accessibility: Is the site open to walk-in visitors during regular hours? Is there parking? Is the schedule posted? If you are relying on tours, they must be open to the public and posted on the website with an easy booking process.
  • Relevancy: Does the site directly relate to agritourism? Does it help Ohioans celebrate or partake in agricultural heritage or production?
  • Visitor Experience: Will visitors find an educational, fun, and/or engaging experience when stopping by the site? The scope of this project is to create a trail where visitors to and through Ohio can stop and spend an hour or two, learning more about the many agritourism experiences our state has to offer.

This Agritourism Trail is separate from America 250-Ohio’s Trails and Tales initiative. The America 250-Ohio Agritourism Trail will encourage travel to agritourism sites throughout the state.

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
