Pickaway County Farm Bureau

The Pickaway County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees invites you to attend our Policy Development Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in the County Agriculture Service Building Conference Room, 110 Island Road, Circleville, 43113.

This meeting’s purpose is to share Farm Bureau’s current policies on issues important to Pickaway County and to allow you to provide us with information on issues you believe Farm Bureau should address. Your input is what we need. This policy process provides us with the information we need to develop our plan of work for the year. We will be having conversations on county, state, and federal issues.

Something new this year, we are offering a pancake and sausage breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. There is no charge for the breakfast, however, donations are appreciated.

If you wish to attend, please contact the county Farm Bureau office at 740-474-6284. Attached is a policy submission form. If you have a policy proposal, please submit your proposed policies or bring it with you to the meeting. If you can not attend, but still wish to submit a proposed policy, please mail it to the county Farm Bureau office, 24633 US Hwy 23 S, Circleville, Ohio 43113.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.

New and beginning farmers
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

Youth pathways in Farm Bureau
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
