Warren County holds annual meeting

Lane Osswald of Eldorado was re-elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation during the group’s 105th annual meeting. This is his fifth, three-year term. As a trustee, he will help govern the state’s largest general farm organization and represent District 18 Farm Bureau members from Butler, Hamilton, Montgomery and Preble counties.
Osswald’s family grows corn, soybeans, wheat and cover crops, along with providing custom farming services and seed sales. He is a licensed commercial pesticide applicator and an experienced crop advisor for many local farmers. A 25-year member of Preble County Farm Bureau, he has served on the state Farm Bureau board for 12 years, including as treasurer. In addition, he has served as treasurer of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation and as a member of the Ohio Soybean Association board of trustees.
In addition, Osswald served six years as the chair of the Preble County Planning Commission and currently serves on the Ohio State University Extension Preble County Advisory Committee. He has been a Preble County Pork Festival volunteer for over 40 years and has served his local United Methodist Church in leadership roles at both the local and district levels. Lane and his wife, Bambi, have four children.
