Ohio’s food and farm community needs your support.

Ohio Farm Bureau is an organization for farmers, individuals and businesses that believes in what farmers do: provide food, resources and jobs for our communities. Farming provides nearly one million jobs and affects all of us every day. Buying a group membership is a great way for you and your employees to find out about and help strengthen the local food and farming community.

Why invest?

Agriculture is the foundation of Ohio’s economy, contributing $105 billion and accounting for one in every seven jobs. Strength in Ohio’s agricultural sector builds strength in Ohio’s communities, providing food, fuel and fiber for Ohioans and the foundation for financial lenders, construction companies, implement dealers, motor vehicle dealers, seed, chemical and fertilizer dealers and many others. Farmers depend on local businesses and local businesses depend on farmers for a strong local economy.

Ohio Farm Bureau membership is a good return on investment to help ensure the state’s agricultural economy remains strong, vibrant and diverse. Ohio Farm Bureau accomplishes this by advocating for Ohio’s farm and food community to ensure we have a responsive and efficient government, protection of landowner and business rights, wise use of natural resources and a healthy business climate.

Benefits of helping your employees and/or clients become members.

  • A Farm Bureau group membership will help share the value of a strong food, farming and business environment for your company and your community.
  • The membership will help create a relationship with employees that shows appreciation for their service, encourages community involvement and provides access to benefits and discounts.
  • The membership will build affinity with your company, helping with employee retention and customer loyalty.

What others are saying about a
Group Membership
with Ohio Farm Bureau

“The Farm Bureau is very active in Richland County, and they do a good job of staying in touch with their members with a variety of events throughout the year. By increasing our employees’ knowledge, we hope that they continue the conversation with others about the importance of agriculture today and in the future.”

~ Robert and Roger Niese of R & R Niese Farms

“Agland Co-op is an agricultural co-op that employs people from very diverse backgrounds. Some employees do not have an agricultural background, while others may be 3rd and 4th generations off the farm. A group membership to OFBF is very helpful in keeping our employees connected to the farm along with providing educational material.”

~ Jeffrey C. Osentoski, President of Agland Co-op

Group Membership FAQ

What other types of businesses are group members?
Farm Bureau is a diverse organization and is made of individuals that are as diverse as Ohio itself. Car dealers to retail stores, dentists to veterinarians, farmers to co-ops, any business that believes in supporting Ohio’s ag community could purchase a group membership.
Do you need to be a business or organization to purchase a group membership?
Yes. The intention of the group membership is to improve the ability and opportunity for business and organization engagement with farm bureau, and subsequently the group benefits are designed accordingly.
Why should my company purchase a group membership instead of a single membership for the company?
Each company has their own reason for purchasing a group membership. Great local connection. Marketing and promotion opportunities. Employee education and retention. Customer loyalty. And more. Across the board though, group members believe that a strong farm and food community creates a better Ohio. And they recognize that Farm Bureau is the best organization to make it happen.
I’d like to sign up clients as a gift in our group membership, can I do that?
Yes. A gift membership is a great way to show client appreciation and show your company’s commitment to the local and state ag community. All individuals within a group will be identified as clients or employees and can be managed by the primary contact accordingly.
Can I purchase a group membership if some of the people are already members?
Yes. Individual memberships may be purchased for new, existing or former members. For existing individual members, payment provided through the group membership would simply increase the paid through date by 12 months.
Can I purchase the group membership now, and provide the personal information later?
Yes. Some companies have chosen to enter into a relationship at a preferred support level without having all individual members identified. By working with your primary county farm bureau, an open enrollment process will be established and communicated with your company’s primary contact.
Can I sign up members after the initial enrollment?
Yes. An open enrollment process allows for additional members to be added to the group membership. However group membership renewals are typically processed annually in communication with the primary contact and will include individual paid through dates for all individuals included in the group membership.
Can I sign up Young Active Member or Our Ohio Supporters as part of my group membership?
No. Group membership is for active and community members only. Young Active and Our Ohio Supporters can be purchased directly online at growwithfb.org or through your county farm bureau office.
How do I take advantage of the exclusive benefits of my group membership?
Your primary county Farm Bureau will be your link to utilizing the additional exclusive group member benefits. Outreach and engagement opportunities will also be available in print, social media and e-news communications from the state office. For Tier 2 and 3 group members, Ohio Farm Bureau communication staff will contact the company primary contact to secure digital logo and other marketing material needs.
