AITC scholarship Logan County

We want YOU!

If you are a K-12th grade educator at one of Logan County’s schools, you may enter to win a scholarship to attend the National Ag in the Classroom Conference June 23-26, 2025 in Minneapolis.

The conference is an excellent opportunity to learn ways to bring food and agriculture content into classrooms.

The conference is incredibly informative and focuses on standards-based content for K-12 teachers. From learning about literature sources, and fun games to engage students, everyone will be learning more about agriculture and food topics. It also is a great opportunity to talk with other educators about how they incorporate agriculture into their lessons.

The scholarship funds are available from the  Logan County Ag Impact Fund. Logan County Farm Bureau started this fund seven years ago to support agriculture in our county. It is used to provide grants for ag enrichment programming specifically benefiting youth. The funds are derived from our reverse raffle event, which this year will be held on April 5 at Winner Harvest Barn.

Please enter to win a great opportunity to learn more about teaching agriculture. To enter, please go to: WIN

My first recommendation in your journey is to start out with a local farming friend or mentor along with joining an organization like Ohio Farm Bureau.

New and beginning farmers
We’re just so thankful for the Farm Bureau and the foundation for helping put this together. And of course, the Boyert family for the vision they had with this grant. It’s jumping us forward 10 years. It’s unbelievable.

Bringing the farm back to life
It wasn’t until I joined the Wilmington College Collegiate Farm Bureau that I truly saw how my passion could translate into leadership, advocacy and a career.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Giving farmers a voice
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
