Tara Durbin

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is excited to invite industry professionals, community members, and golf enthusiasts to participate in the 2025 Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Golf Invitational June 23 at Scioto Reserve Country Club in Powell.

The annual golf outing is a cornerstone event for the foundation, with proceeds directly supporting its mission to inspire innovation and cultivate investment in Ohio’s farm and food community.

Each year, the foundation recognizes exceptional leadership in Ohio agriculture. This year’s honoree is Tara Durbin.

Durbin serves as Chief Lending Officer for Agriculture at Farm Credit Mid-America. As a member of the association’s Executive Committee, Tara provides strategic leadership for retail sales and operations teams across the Association’s territory. She previously served as Senior Vice President Agricultural Lending, leading retail teams in Ohio. She began her career as a Financial Services Officer in 2001 and held roles of increasing responsibility in agricultural lending.

Tara holds a bachelor’s in Agriculture and Business Marketing from Wilmington College and a master’s in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She has a Leadership Certification from The Wharton School, and is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking and the Farm Credit Leadership College.

Durbin, her husband, Dusty, and son, Daxton, own and run a cash grain farming operation in Knox County. They love spending warm days on the lake and time together on the farm. She also served on the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Board of Directors from 2017-2023, serving as President in 2022.

Participants of the golf outing can expect a day of friendly competition and camaraderie, with a four-person team scramble format and divisional scoring. Prizes will be awarded to teams in two divisions, ensuring a spirited and inclusive event for all skill levels.

To register a team, learn more about sponsorship opportunities, or for additional information, please visit ofbf.org/foundation/golf or contact the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation at [email protected]. Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
