Warren County holds annual meeting

Mackenzie Deetz of Sugarcreek has been elected to her first, three-year term on the board of trustees of Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. She represents the interests of Farm Bureau members from Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson and Tuscarawas counties. Her election took place during OFBF’s 104th annual meeting, Dec. 8-9 in Columbus.
Deetz is a 6th generation dairy farmer, working alongside her father and two brothers in the Ragersville Valley, where they milk 1,700 holsteins.
A member of Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau for more than three years, she has served on the county Farm Bureau’s education and outreach committees.
Mackenzie attended Ohio State University and has previously worked in the health care and education fields. She volunteers as a host farmer for the Dairy Excellence Foundation and American Dairy Association Mideast, teaching children about agriculture and the dairy industry.
