Ohio Farm Bureau officers re-elected at 107th Annual Meeting

Read MoreShelby Rhodes of Augusta has been named operations coordinator for Ohio Farm Bureau. In her new role, she will be providing administrative support to the organization’s Strategic Partnerships Department, as well as continuing to provide critical support to the Communications Department, and the chief information officer. Additionally, Rhodes will be managing the organization’s fleet program.
Over the past two years, Rhodes has served in various leadership positions on the Carroll County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees and was most recently elected to serve as the board’s president.
She was an integral part of her county Farm Bureau’s award-winning Check Your Engine Program team to raise awareness of farmer mental wellness and was an Ohio Farm Bureau Special 10 scholarship award winner, allowing her to attend the 2024 American Farm Bureau Young Farmer & Rancher Leadership Conference in Omaha, Nebraska. She also has been heavily involved in various Ohio Farm Bureau events, including the annual County Presidents’ Trip to Washington, D.C., Ag Day at the Capital and the Young Ag Professionals Winter Leadership Experience.
Rhodes was most recently a national sales representative for PBS Animal Health specializing in the management and development of dairy and beef operations across the continental United States, providing customers with access to an array of animal health and pharmaceutical products. Prior to that, she was a customer care specialist with R.J. Matthews Company, serving customers in the animal health industry nationwide.
A first generation agriculturalist, Rhodes obtained her American FFA Degree in 2021 and is currently a 4-H Youth mentor and coach, specializing in livestock. She also serves as the Dairy Princess Program coordinator for Carroll County and sits on the program’s promotion board. As a recipient of a state certification through Stark State Community College, Rhodes serves as a 3rd generation firefighter for the Augusta Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Ohio Farm Bureau is the state’s largest and most inclusive farm and food membership organization. Its mission is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.
